A new ally for Climate Justice!
26 Nov 2009
José Cura joins the "TCK-TCK-TCK: Time for Climate Justice" campaign, an initiative of the Global Humanitarian Forum.
What is the forum?
Founded in 2007, the Global Humanitarian Forum is led by Nobel Peace Prize recipient Kofi Annan and brings together stakeholders, including government, business, international organizations, civil society and the general public, to help solve humanitarian challenges. Located in Geneva, the Forum’s current focus is to increase awareness on the human face of climate change and to boost support to vulnerable populations worst affected by global warming.
Why "tck-tck-tck"?
The clock is ticking. Whithin 10 days the United Nations will meet in Copenhagen to decide on a defining agreement that will determine the future of our planet in the face of the climate crisis. This agreement will be crucial for the world's poorest people, who are already suffering and dying today as a result of climate change. Without our collective action, this will continue.
